Well, I was writing a little script and was gonna a do a video showing the history of my multiboxing. I figured I'd just post it. (we were having mic issues the other day)
So...
After years of playing early FPS games like Doom, Quake2 and the like, I took a break from gaming.
I started playing EQ in April of 1999 about a month after it's release.
I found that it was not easy to find good groups, which is something that has prevailed in most games over the years. After a few months of playing EQ, I got the idea to run 2 characters at once. At the time, my wife had an account and I ran an avatar on her account and mine.
Eventually, I got to the point where I could run a full group of 6 characters. Multiboxing became an addiction.
This trend followed me through Earth and Beyond in 2002 where I ran 5 ships in formation everywhere. On to Star Wars Galaxies in 2003 where I ran a few characters around in a group mostly to tank and heal.
I took a break for a while when I found Entropia Universe, it was not feasible and it was ridiculously expensive to multi in this game.
Around April of 2006 I found Auto Assault, I ran a couple cars together. I went back to Entropia for a while and tried DDO (did not multi there).
We made the switch to Macs earlier this year, I got the bug to MMO again and started playing WoW in May.
That's how I got to here :)
